Ratification Date: August 18, 1920
“The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.” The 19th amendment granted/gave women the right to vote. It prohibited votes being denied based on sex. Due to this amendment, women ( African and American) were allowed to vote with African and American men. |
