Ratification Date: February 3rd 1870
“The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude.” The 15th amendment granted African American men. It also prevented votes to be denied based on race, color, previous condition of servitude. Because of this, alcohol was no longer manufactured or transported. It was also not allowed to be sold. |
