“The transportation or importation into any State, Territory, or possession of the United States for delivery or use therein of intoxicating liquors, in violation of the laws thereof, is hereby prohibited.” The 18th amendment prohibited the manufacture, transport, and sale of alcohol within the U.S. Alcohol was no longer manufactured or transported. It was also not allowed to be sold. |
